The CH24, or Wishbone Chair as for the back recording a breastbone of chicken, was the first of Wagner’s chairs designed for Danish maker Carl Hansen since 1950. Starting from 1944 Wegner worked on a series of chairs inspired by a portrait of Danish merchants sitting in traditional Ming chairs, that culminates in the Wishbone Chair. The Chinese inspiration is clearly visible, but transformed in an original new form.
This set, produced in 1960s, keeps its beautiful original patina.
