Andy Warhol (1928-1987), born as Andrew Warhola) was an American artist with an obsessive and eccentric personality, a leading figure in the visual art movement flourished by the 1960s known as Pop art. He worked through a variety of media including drawing, painting, silkscreening, photography and film. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, advertising and celebrity culture.
