Paul Evans was an American artist, furniture designer and sculptor. With his Brutalist-inspired sculpted metal furnishings he anticipated the limited edition art furniture of today. Performer Lenny Kravitz, collector of Evans pieces, defined his work as “stunningly beautiful, stunningly ugly, stunningly tacky, stunningly sophisticated.” It exemplifies the perfect melding of modernist design and fine metal craftsmanship in which every piece was supervised by the artist at each step of production. Now in Oneroom Shoreditch gallery.
